As you can easily imagine all destinations connected to the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 space mission are obviously mostly located in the USA. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin e Michael Collins left aboard the spacecraft to get the Moon surface from Cape Canaveral, a promontory in the Brevard County in Florida.

About 20 kilometres from Cape Canaveral arises the Kennedy Space Center whose presence influences so much the local economy that Brevard County is also known as Space Coast.

Nasa’s Manned Mission control, that is the Johnson Space Center, is located in Houston, Texas.

Armstrong and his crewmembers were in direct contact with Houston capsule communicator during those legendary days 50 years ago.

You can go from Houston to Washington D.C., the Capital city of the United States, to visit the National Air and Space Museum, where it is kept the Apollo 11 Columbia Command Module. Armstrong spacesuit is exhibited in the Armstrong Air & Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio, the hometown of the first spaceman landed on the moon.
